Strawberry Salad with Maple-Balsamic Vinaigrette

Ingredients
- 4 cups lettuces $1.35
- 1/2 cup strawberries, sliced $0.81
- 1 sprig of fresh mint * -

- For the Maple-Balsamic Dressing
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar plus one teaspoon $0.35
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup $0.64
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce $0.10
- 1/3 cup olive oil $1.07
Instructions
- Combine the lettuce and strawberries and optional mint, nuts and cheese in a large bowl.
- Prepare the vinaigrette: combine all ingredients in a small jar with a tight-fitting lid and shake well, until the dressing is well mixed and creamy in texture.
- Pour the vinaigrette over the salad, finish with a grind of fresh black pepper and enjoy!

- You can use strawberries, raspberries, or blackberries for this festive salad.
