Liven up your salad with this delightful and easy variation. Fresh strawberries add sweetness to dark, leafy greens, and with our tangy homemade maple-balsamic vinaigrette you won't believe how tasty salad can be.   • 4 cups lettuce
  • 1/2 cup strawberries, sliced
  • * 1 sprig of fresh mint
  • 1 ounce walnuts, chopped
  • * 1 ounce goat cheese or feta
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • For the Maple-Balsamic Dressing 
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar plus one teaspoon
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
*Optional ingredients are not counted towards pricing

Prep Time: About 10 minutes

Instructions:
  1. Combine the lettuce and strawberries and optional mint, nuts and cheese in a large bowl.
  2. Prepare the vinaigrette: combine all ingredients in a small jar with a tight-fitting lid and shake well, until the dressing is well mixed and creamy in texture.
  3. Pour the vinaigrette over the salad, finish with a grind of fresh black pepper and enjoy!
Notes:
  • You can use strawberries, raspberries, or blackberries for this festive salad.
  • Refrigerated, the Maple-Balsamic salad dressing keeps well for up to a week. Make a large batch and keep on hand for quick salad courses.
